Create a Cohort

Create a new cohort or convert your analysis context into a cohort.

Who can use this feature?

Users with this permission capability:

  • Change Analysis Context

Prerequisites: A subject-based metric must be selected because you'll be defining a population that exists over time. Examples include metrics that look at employees, requisitions, or applicants.

To create a new cohort:

Working with charts

On the Analysis Context toolbar, click the More actions button> Define new cohort.

Comparing groups in charts
  1. In the Compare to panel, select a group.
  2. In the Edit comparison panel, click the More actions button> Define new cohort.
In Compare
  1. Click the Add comparison button .

  2. In the Compare to panel, click Create a group.

  3. In the Create a group panel, click the More actions button> Define new cohort.

To convert your analysis context into a cohort:

Working with charts

On the Analysis Context toolbar, click the More actions button > Analyze as cohort.

Note:  

  • Your analysis context must contain a filter or key group before it can be converted into a cohort.
  • You cannot convert your analysis context into a cohort if it already contains a cohort.

Comparing groups in charts
  1. In the Compare to panel, select the group you want to convert into a cohort.
  2. In the Edit Comparison panel, click the More actions button > Analyze as cohort.

In Compare
  1. Click the Add comparison button .

  2. In the Compare to panel, click Create a group.

  3. Add filters to define your cohort.
  4. In the Create a group panel, click the More actions button> Define new cohort.
