What’s included in the trial?
Your trial includes full admin access to a dedicated and secure environment of Visier, the flagship people analytics solution by Visier.
The trial includes in-app guided tracks covering five key areas to help you quickly set up and customize your environment:
- An overview including how Visier guides novices and experts alike to get key insights relevant to them.
- How Visier quickly streamlines messy and complex people data into targeted insights.
- Customizing the people data model and the thousands of pre-built metrics and content.
- Exporting data with APIs and connectors, including Visier’s pre-built BI connectors.
- How to securely distribute insights using Visier’s granular role-based permissions. The guides are optional and you can complete them at your own pace. If you need more time to explore, you can extend your trial upon request.
Note: The trial is ideal for those who will be setting up people analytics (e.g. Administrators, IT teams, Developers, or Data Engineers), rather than the consumers of the insights (e.g. HR Business Partners or Management). Yes, this trial will help you to understand how Visier can help you drive new value and revenue through elevated analytics within your app.
What do I need to start my free trial?
There is no credit card required for the trial. To get started, all you have to do is sign up using the form on this page, verify your email, log in, and click the “Start trial” button on your account dashboard. From there, you can get started with the in-app guides, either connecting or loading your own data or loading the sample data provided.
While we recommend following the guides to explore the full capability of Visier, you are also free to explore, customize and play around on your own.
How is data privacy and security handled during the trial?
Visier takes your people and business data very seriously. Visier participates in TRUSTe's Verified International Privacy program, and all customer data is encrypted at rest (a minimum of AES 256-bit encryption) and while in transit (TLS 1.2 / TLS 1.3 with 128-bit or better encryption) using leading industry standards.

How is my data handled after the trial period ends?
For security and privacy reasons your tenant data will be erased if a free trial account has been inactive for more than 6 months. If you would like us to terminate your trial and delete your data before your trial ends, please email us at free-trial@visier.com.
Does the trial come with support?
Yes. To support your evaluation, we encourage you to lean on our support team, as well as the Visier Community Forum to get answers to your questions. If you get stuck, don’t hesitate to reach out. Contact us at free-trial@visier.com or post on the Visier Community Forum.
What are the system requirements?
Visier is a cloud-hosted SaaS (Software as a service) solution. All you need is a supported web browser to access Visier. For more information, see Supported Browsers and System Requirements.
Are there any limitations in the trial version of Visier?
Most features are available during the trial. However, for security purposes and to simplify the trial experience, the following capabilities are disabled:
- Predictions
- Visier Benchmarks
- Most pre-built content and guidebooks
- Single sign-on

Can I invite more people to my trial?
In the near future we will add this functionality, but at this time we do not offer the option to extend invites to additional users.
Do I need my organization’s data files or connections to use the trial?
No. We provide sample data files that are based on typical HCM system exports for the purpose of the trial. We recommend using these sample files to understand Visier’s data management and other functionalities, however you are also welcome to upload or connect to your organization's own data sources.
Can I integrate Visier with other systems during the trial?
Yes! While we provide optional sample data, you can also connect to your existing databases and HRIS systems, as well as upload via SFTP, or transfer data directly via API.
How does Visier fit into my existing HR tech stack?
Visier fits alongside your existing HR tech stack, helping you to combine, cleanse, model, and visualize the data from multiple sources, as well as output it to popular data visualization and analysis tools. As such, Visier does not interfere with any of your existing systems.
Can I customize Visier during the trial?
As an administrator, you have full access to customize your instance of Visier during the trial. This includes, but isn’t limited to, setting up data connectors, modeling analytic objects, customizing metrics & parameters, setting up permissions, and tailoring visualizations to your organization’s needs.
