This section covers the changes to Visier's Real-Time People Data Platform.
What's new
Analyses list order
We’ve rearranged the tabs in the Analyses room to help you find relevant content faster. You will now see a list of analyses that you own instead of all the analyses you have access to when opening the Analyses room.
Dynamic analyses enhancements
We made the following improvements for dynamic analyses:
- Authors can now assign a color to reference line chart transforms.
- Authors can now lock trigger population and scope population filters. Users cannot remove locked filters when viewing the dynamic analysis.
- Users are now prompted to select analysis parameters in dynamic analyses if required parameters are missing, such as the trigger population or plans and scenarios.
Shared analysis editing
Multiple authors can now edit the same analysis, enabling sharing of content creation and better file management by reducing the need to create multiple copies of the same analysis.
Table visualization card
To improve the flexibility of our analyses, we have decreased the minimum size of the Table visualization card. This means that the card can now be displayed either half-width or full-width, giving authors more options for how they want to display their data.
Tenant image inheritance
Previously, if you added an image to an analysis that image would not show up in your analytic tenants' version of the analysis. Now, analytic tenants inherit all images in analyses.
Analysis context in the Compare room
You can now change the time period of analysis and add filters in the Compare room.
Group by levels
Easily compare items across an attribute level. For example, when grouping by Location Hierarchy, you can now select the city level to see data for New York and Toronto.
Long text display (Breakdown visual)
If a visual has long attribute labels, you can adjust the layout to include the full text in the visual.
View Details for multiple metrics (Comparisons, Relationship, and Quadrant visuals)
You can now access a list of subject members or event occurrences that make up a population for any metric that is included in your visual.
Community Career Paths
You can now compare your employee career paths to similar employees across all Visier customers in the Career Paths and Sourcing Paths visuals. Career paths are aggregated from 15 million records and can be used to benchmark the career paths within your organization.
Note: This feature requires an additional cost. If you are interested, please contact your Customer Success Manager (CSM).
Test tenant for onboarding
Partners can now access Visier’s test tenant to support your onboarding experience.
Workday connector enhancements
Our Workday connector now supports talent acquisition data like Applicant, Candidate, and Offer.
Content aware file retention
Automate data deletion requests from your customers by configuring a rolling window for data files to store N years worth of data based on fields in the uploaded files.
Note: Limited Availability This feature is in limited availability. If you are interested, please contact your
Preview analyses from Studio
As an administrator, you can directly preview an analysis as another user when creating and managing analyses in Studio.
Rename Solution Definition to Application Definition
Can't find the Solution Definition export in Studio? That's because we renamed the export to Application Definition. The Application Definition export contains a list of all the analytic and document objects in Visier People such as subjects, events, overlays, metrics, and analyses.
Data Model and Data Query APIs
The following enhancements were made to the APIs:
- Added the displayNamePath field to the CellSetAxisPosition data type. This allows you to retrieve the paths of the display names for an axis member.
- Added Retrieve children dimension members of a given member ID for a dimension ID endpoint. This allows you to retrieve the children of specific dimension members, such as Canada’s children members (British Columbia, Alberta, Ontario, …).
- Added ids and showPathDisplayNames parameters to the Retrieve dimension members by ID endpoint.
- ids allows you to specify dimension members to retrieve child members for.
- showPathDisplayNames specifies whether you want the response to return the display names of path members.
- Added MemberDisplayMode data type.
- Added memberDisplayMode to QueryExecutionOptions. In a query, you can now control how time axis member values are displayed in the result set.
Patch updates
June 14 - Formula dictionary enhancements
We made the following enhancements to the formula dictionary:
- The left panel now lists all object types (metrics, subjects, events, …) and functions. You can expand each category in the panel to see the the available objects and functions.
- The middle panel now shows the available objects' object names.
- After selecting an object in the middle panel, the right panel now has a Go to Object button that takes you to the selected object’s detail page. For example, if you select Metrics > employeeCount > Go to Object, you will be redirected to the metric page for employeeCount.
- After selecting an object like a dimension or concept in the middle panel, the right panel now displays the object’s associated analytic objects. For example, if you select Concepts > Gender, the right panel displays the analytic objects Employee, Applicant, and Candidate.
- The search function now displays the number of results for your search query (for example, 1200 results for ‘employee’) and lists search results in the middle panel.
May 31 - Make a dimension shared
Previously, the button to change a local dimension to a shared dimension was called Convert. Now, to improve clarity, that button is called Make Shared. You can find this button in any dimension that isn’t shared.
May 31 - Visual title font color
To help you create color palettes that are consistent with your brand colors, we’ve improved the readability of visual titles that have dark backgrounds. The font color will automatically change from black to white when a dark color background is used.
