Learn about the different ways to load your data into Visier.
There are multiple ways to load data into Visier depending on your specific needs and overall data ecosystem.
Data In Connectors: Visier seamlessly connects to multiple data sources. If you have a source that Visier connects to, you can leverage our data connectors. The data connectors simplify the data loading process by connecting and extracting data directly from your source systems through an automated workflow, subsequently transforming and processing it within the Visier platform.
Direct Data Intake API: If you have an established extract, transform, and load (ETL) data ecosystem and want complete control over data transformation within your own environment, the Direct Data Intake API is the perfect option for you. It provides you with the ability to load data into objects in your Visier solution.
File Upload: If your data is stored on a secure file server that only authorized users can access and decrypt or if you prefer to download data from your database, prepare it, and then upload it into Visier, file upload method is recommended. See below for the different options for uploading data files:
- Visier Solution: This option is particularly useful for initial data onboarding, testing, and conducting ad hoc data uploads.
- Data Upload API: This API allows you to programmatically send data files to Visier. It's a convenient alternative to SFTP.
- Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP): Allows you to automate the file upload process by scheduling a data load frequency. This is a great option to use after onboarding your initial dataset into Visier.
