Adjust the Vertical Axis
Choose the visual scale and where the vertical axis starts.
Choose a linear or logarithmic scale
To get a different perspective, you can switch the vertical axis from a linear scale to a logarithmic scale when analyzing data that is experiencing exponential growth. For more information, see Logarithmic Scale.
Choose where the vertical axis starts
While the start from zero function provides a standard vertical axis, the scale to data function allows you to zoom in on small data changes over time so you can pick up on them when they're small compared to the values.
To adjust the vertical axis:
- Click the Settings button
on the Visual Actions menu.

Under Vertical scale, select a linear or logarithmic scale.
Note: The logarithmic scale:
- Cannot be used in a comparison chart.
- Is only available for additive metrics. For more information, see Metrics.
- Cannot show zero or negative values because they're mathematically undefined.
- Under Range of values, select whether or not your vertical axis starts from zero.
