What's new

Citations in Vee Boards

AI explanations now include citations that indicate the data source for each insight in a Vee Board. Hover over a citation to preview the corresponding visual, and click the citation to open the visual in full screen. For more information, see Vee Boards.

Jira Connector General Availability

We’re excited to announce the general availability of the Jira Connector. Use it to bring general work data into Visier to drive insights into Development teams. For more information, see Jira.

Improved Release Controls for Partners

Enjoy more flexibility with our updated release process. Major Visier product versions will no longer be automatically activated on your analytic tenants. Instead, you will have a designated release window to test and activate the latest version when you’re ready. For more information, see Manage Major Release Versions.

Visier Reporting General Availability

Visier Reporting, a reports tool that allows you to efficiently collect, organize, and present data in a clear, tabular format. The ability to generate customizable reports enhances collaboration and transparency across teams. Reports transform complex data into easy-to-understand visualizations that drive smarter business decisions and improve overall efficiency. Reports work with Visier's security model to ensure users only see data they are permitted to see. For more information, see Reports.

Multi IdP Support

We now support single sign-on with multiple identity providers (IdPs), giving you greater flexibility when signing in to Visier. For more information, see Set Up Single Sign-On.

Data Job Validation

We added the following enhancements for data engineers to validate data loading jobs:

  • Access to a job’s Processing Issues tab (previously ESL Issues) to troubleshoot all processing issues in failed jobs in a single overview.
  • Additional error messages for:
    • Invalid mapping extraction rules, unmapped mandatory properties, invalid mapped columns, and missing sources in the mapping.
    • Invalid business rule and multi-subject rule formulas.
    • Processing issues during the job.

For more information, see Processing job issues in Data Validation.

APIs

What's new

Batch Process Webhooks

Use webhooks to register your own HTTPS endpoints with Visier and listen for specific events. When these events occur, Visier sends an API request to your registered endpoint. For example, you can create a webhook to monitor job status events with Visier. Visier sends a success or failure notification to your registered endpoint after the job completes. For more information, see Webhooks API.

Data Modeling CRUD API

We added new APIs to create, retrieve, update, and delete the following objects in Visier:

  • Leveled and parent-child dimensions
  • Process concepts and process concept metrics
  • Vee sample questions

For more information, see Dimensions API, Concepts API, and Data Model API Code Samples.

With these insights, you can identify the best internal candidates for a job and the best next jobs for employees, based on skill fit. You can also optimize productivity and retention by deploying talent to where they work best. We’ve added seven new analyses for you to explore skills-enabled people analytic insights and actions. Datasets and Enrichments

What's new

Improved Job Standardization

The Standardized Occupation algorithm now delivers more precise job matches. This update improves the reliability of your analytics and reduces the impact of poorly matched jobs. When there is not enough evidence for a confident match, occupations will now be categorized as unmatched. Unmatched jobs can be manually matched to a Standardized Occupation in Studio. For more information, see Override a Standardization Match.

Updates to Visier's Job Taxonomy

Job descriptions have been improved for many consultant jobs outside of traditional consulting firms. A new career track for consultant jobs has been added and existing consultant jobs have been assigned to this career track. Job matches that existed previously will be preserved.
