- remoteIndex: The Remote Index measures how readily an job or skill can be done through remote work.
Note: These fields will be omitted if automation is not applicable to the job or skill.
Automation Index
The Automation Index is built upon research where experts assessed the degree of automation of thousands of work activities. The Automation Index represents the likelihood that a skill or job will be automated in the future based on current technology. The index ranges from 0 to 100. Use the following information as guidance when looking at the Automation Index of a skill or job:
Automation Index |
Description |
---|---|
0 |

25 |
Mostly not automatable. |
75 |

100 |

Remote Index
The Remote Index is calculated by looking at the essential skills of a job to determine whether each skill can be performed remotely. For example, skills that require the use of a particular tool or the need for an individual to be physically present in a specific location cannot be done remotely. The Remote Index represents how readily a job can be done through remote work. The index ranges from 0 to 100. A score of 100 means all the skills that are required to perform the job can be done remotely. Use the following information as guidance when looking at the Remote Index of a skill or job:
