Select the managers that will be responsible for each compensation allocation task.

Tip: Watch this video to learn how to assign compensation tasks.

Prerequisites

Before you can assign compensation tasks, you must first Create a Compensation Cycle.

Overview

Determine who will be compensation owners by assigning tasks. Once you release tasks, the assigned managers and their supporting users will be notified to begin work on them.

To assign tasks, you can edit the following task elements:

  1. Task name
  2. Assignee
  3. Supporting users

Assign compensation tasks

  1. In the Assignments tab, click Set assignments.
  2. Click the Task name to edit it. By default, the task name is a combination of your Organization Hierarchy and Supervisory Hierarchy.
  3. Click an Assignee, then select a new employee from the list for each level. By default, task assignees are pre-filled based on the existing data.

Note: Only employees with the Manager profile can be selected as an assignee. If you have questions about profile assignment or access, contact Visier Technical Support.

Tip: Turn the Cascade assignee changes toggle on to distribute assignee changes down to the last hierarchy level in a particular department.

  4. Optional: Click Add supporting users, then select an employee from the list. A supporting user is an employee who can assist the assigned manager in completing allocation for a given task, they have the same rights on those tasks as a manager.

    Note:

    • You can add multiple supporting users.
    • Adding a supporting user will always cascade down to the last level in the hierarchy because supporting users, such as HRBPs, are usually assigned to support the entire portfolio of a leader.
    • Only employees with the Support profile can be selected as a supporting user. If you have questions about profile assignment or access, contact Visier Technical Support.
  5. Click Save.
