Finalizing Your Plan

Learn how to finalize your plan by creating a plan snapsnot.

After the plan has been approved, you can finalize it by creating a plan snapshot. This prevents any further changes to the:

• Plan values
• Assumptions
• Baseline values
• Projected values
• Plan segments

Plan snapshots ensure your budget and forecast values don’t change as new data is loaded onto the solution, so you can accurately compare how your plan values are doing against actuals. Snapshots can also be used as a form of version control when you are editing your plan. Create a snapshot before you make significant changes to your plan in case you need to restore your plan to a previous version. After you create a snapshot, you can access the plan metrics in Explore.
