Spring 2019 Release Notes
Discover the improvements and fixes that were included in this release.
Platform
This section covers the improvements and fixes that we've added to increase the clarity and value of Visier People.
Analytics
- 34009: When compared to the Movement Summary chart, the Movement Breakdown chart would sometimes show different values for Moves In and Moves Out. This discrepancy has been fixed and both charts will now show the same values.
- 35128: When applying filters to an analysis, you may have noticed that filters were not being applied correctly to some charts. Previously, if any of the filters could not be applied to the chart, all filters would be dropped. This has been fixed and charts will only drop the filters that cannot be applied.
- 36780: We fixed an issue where custom trailing periods could not be applied to certain metrics such as Estimated Replacement Cost Due to Turnover.
- 36783: Even though it was manually turned off, the Virtual Assistant would reactivate each time a new data version was loaded. This will no longer happen and the Virtual Assistant will remain off.
Planning
- 36702: We fixed an issue where the actual metric was being filtered incorrectly when it was being compared to multiple plan metrics.
Admin
- 26540: When downloading the Audit report, you will no longer get an error.
- 34613: We fixed an issue where users were being forwarded to the incorrect sign-in page when their sessions expired.
- 36627: To coincide with the improvements to data security configuration, the Super Admin Role has been renamed to the Super Admin Permission.
Solution
This section covers the changes to content, such as metrics and prebuilt analyses, that we've added to help you tackle more complex topics.
Organization
Improvements
- The HR Effectiveness topic was added to the guidebook. The HR employee concept was added and allows you to identify who has a role in HR using Job Name. The HR Employee Ratio, HR FTE Ratio, HR Labor Costs per Employee, Manager to HRBP Ratio, and Manager to HR Recruiting Ratio metrics were added. Use the HR Effectiveness metrics to evaluate the efficiency and impact of the HR team on the organization and whether HR has enough staff to effectively support the workforce.
-
We have introduced a range of usage analyses to help you increase the adoption of people analytics across the organization. With the introduction of usage metrics your People Analytics team can now track things like: who is logging in, who is creating new content, which analyses are being accessed, and more. The Usage topic was also added to the guidebook.
Note: The new set of Usage features will be made available a few weeks after the Spring release. During this time, to ensure that the Usage features are performing exactly as expected, we will be validating and reviewing the usage data. Once we have confirmed that everything is performing as expected, we will enable this feature and update you when it becomes available.
- We've added two concepts that will allow you to quickly filter to employees who report to you. The My Direct Reports concept allows you to see employees who report directly to you and the My Reports concept allows you to see employees who are in your supervisory hierarchy.
- The Assignments metric was added and allows you to look at the number of assignments that were active at any time during the period.
- The Assignment Allocation Percentage property was added. It is calculated as the total employee's assigned time divided by their FTE factor and allows you to count and identify the employees who are over or under utilized.
- Education and Job History have been converted to multi-value properties so you can load detailed education and employment data for candidates and employees (e.g., An employee's last 5 jobs).
Bug fixes
- 34995: To provide a more accurate description, the Employee Post-Exit property was renamed to Employer Post-Exit.
- 35486: To align with naming conventions, the Male Ratio metric was renamed to Employee Male Ratio.
- 35539: We fixed an issue where the Manager Change Count property and the Manager Instability Count (Trailing 12 Months) metric did not count values that go from unknown to known as a change.
- 35560: The explanation for the Employee Female Ratio was updated to include a note which states the denominator only includes those with a known value for gender.
