Platform
This section covers the changes to the platform.
What's new
Set your own Home analysis: Users can now override the default login analysis set by their administrator with an analysis of their choice.
Share analysis notification option: You can now choose whether or not to notify users via email when you share an analysis with them. When notifying users, you can also add a note to provide additional context or instructions.
Find similar: Quickly add a group of employees to the comparison grid that have similar attributes to an employee of interest in the Compare room.
Tableau Web Connector: Create an Aggregated or Detailed Data Export to export data from Visier directly into Tableau.
Suggested metrics and filters: Based on common usage patterns, Visier will now intelligently suggest other metrics and filters for you to use.
Capture View Details: You can now capture and add the View Details visualization to your analysis.
Event annotations: Add event annotations to the Trend and Trend Breakdown visuals to provide contextual information that will help users understand trends in the data.
Get additional details about reference lines: We've added visual interactions to make it easier for you to get more details about reference lines. Hover over any reference line in the visual to reveal a datatip that displays information such as its value. You can also click the reference line to view additional insights in the Info panel.
New traffic light rule type for the Table visual: The Difference from metric overall traffic light rule type is now supported for the Table visual. With this rule type, the metric value for each visual item is compared to the overall value of another metric.
Debug invisible objects: If content isn't available to a user due to security or configuration, Visier hides that content from the user. Administrators can now download an analysis debug report to investigate the hidden content, such as which visuals, metrics, or dimensions aren't displaying.
- Data is required for this feature.
Update to email templates: Administrators can now customize the header image and whether or not a border appears in emails sent from Visier.
UKG Dimensions connector: Visier now offers a data connector for UKG Dimensions. This allows you to import time and attendance data from UKG into Visier.
- This capability is in limited availability. If you are interested in using it, please contact your Customer Success Manager (CSM). If you are unsure who your CSM is, please create a technical support case through the Visier Service Portal.
Flag and fix enhancements: You can now report data issues for additional attribute types. For auditing purposes, administrators can now download a list of all reported data issues. Administrators can also flag and fix data issues in bulk by downloading a template and uploading the list of newly compiled issues.
Metrics within properties: Calculated properties can now reference metrics within their formulas. This feature unlocks the ability to have aggregate values as properties on subject members. For example, we can now add aggregate calculations as properties on managers, such as team count and exit rate. You can use this for reporting, comparison, distribution analysis, and more.
Set parameter values in a metric formula: You can now reference a parameterized metric in the formula of a different metric and set its parameters to a specific value in the new metric formula.
Audit user downloads of analyses and visuals: If a user downloads a Visier analysis or visualization, the Application Logs now record the format that it was downloaded to (PowerPoint, PDF, or Image). It will also provide a unique ID for the analysis or visualization, if available.
Updated security interface: We've enhanced the usability of the security rooms in the studio experience, including:
- Duplicating a permission now takes you to the newly created permission.
- You can now view a data access set's dependencies. The Dependencies tab is a flat list of the permissions that use the data access set.
- Under each subject, events and references will now show a summary info line for the number of Detailed, Aggregated, and None access for properties.
- Events are no longer available in the list of data access sets.
Data model and query APIs: These APIs are now generally available to all customers. The data model and query APIs allow you to pull your data from Visier in an automated or ad-hoc way using an API.
Patch Updates
New error message for unsupported browser sessions in embedded visualizations: We now return the “VERIFY_SESSION_ERROR” error message when an embedded visualization is used in a browser that doesn’t allow third-party cookies or cross-site tracking. To correct the error, change your browser settings to allow third-party cookies or cross-site tracking, or hide the embedded visualization.
New method to embed multiple visualizations: We updated how you can embed more than one visualization in your target environments. You can now add a charts field to the visierConfig object and list each visualization you want to embed.
Support different rasterized sizes for embedded visuals: Visualizations are embedded as rasterized images, which are pixelated images with height and width values. When embedding visualizations in your application or web portal, you can now set the visualization size using the width field.
Manage your users and profiles with Visier APIs: You can now perform user management and profile management tasks using Visier's public APIs.
Bug fixes
45378 - Horizontal axis of 100% stacked bar: We fixed an issue where the horizontal axis of the stacked bar visual exceeded a 100 percent.
73826 - Analysis email Engagement rates: We have changed the way we calculate the Opened and Clicked rates to account for duplicate actions and actions made by users who are not included in the recipient list. As a result, you may see Opened and Clicked rates over 100% for your analysis email schedule.
82320 - Changed language for custom message: Previously, we released a feature that allows our partners to add a custom message to unavailable visuals. We referred to it as "alternative text" in the interface, which was unclear. We recognize that "alt text" has very specific connotations related to accessibility, so we updated the language to say "custom message" instead.
82789 - Movement source and destination values for subject references: When analyzing movement, you can now see the source and destination attribute values of subject references in View Details. For example, if an employee has moved during the period and you can see the email of their direct manager in View Details (subject reference), you will now see the email address of their previous manager and the email address of their current manager.
84063 - Guidebook topics order: We fixed an issue where changes to the Guidebook topic order did not appear to save in the studio experience.
88790 - Net Change value for Movement visuals: When analyzing the movement of a newly added business unit, you will now see the correct Net Change value displayed in the Movement Summary and Movement Breakdown visuals. The discrepancy was a result of the overall Headcount of the entire organization being used as the Starting Headcount instead of zero.
