Platform
This section covers the changes to the platform.
New features
Easily discover functions and objects while editing insight templates: We improved the authoring experience for insight templates. While authoring formulas, you will see auto-complete suggestions and function descriptions.
Full screen search UI improvements: We updated the user interface for searching in the solution experience. Results are now displayed with more separation and whitespace, and a “Go to” button allows users to access results in context. The search result content is not impacted.
No hard population limit on insight analyses: We removed the population limit of 5000 members for insight analyses. Now, insight analyses will be available for populations exceeding 5000 members. Populations may be limited when necessary on a per-algorithm basis.
People Insights Powered by AI: This feature is now generally available to all customers. AI insight analyses use algorithms to provide relevant insights based on a trigger population (such as an employee who recently left the organization). Analysis templates are pre-built by Visier and dynamically change to provide information relevant to the employee you select for analysis.
Simplified navigation bar: We updated the navigation bar in the solution experience. Administrators will notice that you can now navigate to the studio experience directly (no hovering involved!).
Updated login page: We gave our login page a makeover! Users can still sign in, save their email address, and get login help like normal, but now with a shinier look.
Compare room improvements: When searching for employees in the Compare room, only active employees are included in the search results by default. If you want to analyze a former employee, you can now change the filter in the upper-left corner of the search results from Active Employees to All. In addition, the population limit of 5000 members has been removed when adding a similar group (find similar).
Explore this: Users can now right-click a visual item in a visualization and explore that specific member, for example, Gen X in Generation. Exploring a visual item adds that member to the Analysis Context toolbar and automatically picks a similar and relevant group by for the visualization. This makes the analysis and exploration of data simpler and more natural.
Simplified selection experience: We’ve simplified the user experience when it comes to selecting metrics, filters, and group bys in your visualization. You will now see a list of suggested items and your most recent selections instead of the full screen dialog. Just click the search box to bring up your most recently used metrics and attributes. These improvements will minimize the amount of context switching and speed up the visual creation process.
Updated search logic: We updated our search logic to support synonyms and “OR” logic.
- Synonyms: Search results will now display relevant content even if the search query does not precisely match the results. For example, a user who searches for “female” will get results for “female” and “woman”.
- “OR” logic: Search results will now return results for any of the words in the search query. Previously, the search logic only returned results that included every word in the search query.
Define metric filters (Table visual): You can now now apply individual filters to each metric in the Table visual to refine the metric population.
Full screen visualization (Distribution visual): We’ve made improvements to the Distribution visual which shows the summary statistics of a data set (minimum, 25th percentile, median, 75th percentile, and maximum). The visual will now appear in full screen with the Info panel when you access it through the Compare room. You can also capture this visual and use it in your analyses.
Granularity improvements (History visual): The selected time granularity of the History visual will now determine when the data is analyzed for changes. This will affect what attribute changes are included in the History visual.
People actions: We’ve added more actions in the user interface to make it easier for you to access the History visual and Potential Career Path visual when analyzing individual subject members such as an employee.
Time comparison (Trend and Trend Breakdown visual): We’ve made it easier for you to visualize seasonal patterns by allowing you to compare up to 4 different years in a single Trend and Trend Breakdown visual.
Edit Visier analyses: Administrators can now edit Visier analyses directly. Any changes you make to a Visier analysis will override any future updates provided by Visier experts.
Access Analytic Objects room to configure internal comparisons: Administrators can now configure the dimensions, concepts, and metrics within an internal comparison. This gives you more control over the analysis options available to your users. As a result of this change, administrators can now access the Analytic Objects room in a project.
Calculated property parameterization: In the studio experience, users can now create parameters on calculated properties. This allows you to be more efficient while building calculated properties. For example, instead of creating 5 unique calculated properties that are the same other than filtering on different data, you can create one parameterized calculated property. You can then instantiate the property into 5 derived properties by giving different values to the property’s parameter. You can use parameters to build objects at a scalable level, save time, and reduce mistakes that occur during repetitive content creation.
Export and import custom objects: Visier Certified Developers can export sets of custom objects, such as analyses, metrics, and dimensions, into a ZIP file. Any dependent objects for the custom content are included in the export. You can share the exported ZIP file with other tenants to reuse custom content for similar use cases.
Configure attributes in Drivers visual: Administrators can now configure the attributes that impact the Drivers visual. This gives you the power to decide the important attributes you want to see in the Drivers visual.
Highlight duplicate members: Users can now turn on duplicate highlighting while mapping custom dimension members, calculation concept members, and process concept members. This enables you to quickly identify any members that are used in multiple mappings by highlighting duplicate members, and remove duplicates where necessary.
Use tags to categorize content: Administrators can now create new tags to assign to content. Tags are user-defined categories that are used to group and identify related content in your solution.
Workday connector enhancements: We updated our Workday data connector to allow:
- Retrieving custom fields with calculated attributes.
- Retrieving any Workday organization hierarchy.
- Configuring Managed Positions.
Validate project changes using summary metrics: Administrators can now use summary metrics to validate metric values after making changes in a project. Summary metrics show the latest values of specific metrics compared to the baseline values.
Changes to the Permissions room: We updated the Permissions room to include summary information about the permission’s assigned capabilities and content packages. You can now hover over the column values to see the specific capabilities and content packages assigned to the permission.
Changes to the Users room: We updated the User details interface to reorganize the permissions, profiles, user groups, capabilities, and content packages information into tabs.
New Content Packages room: Content Packages is now an individual room. In a project, on the navigation bar, click Security > Content Packages. You can now create, edit, and delete content packages in the Content Packages room. Assigning content packages to permissions still occurs in a permission.
Sort Content Package analyses by tag: We added the option to sort the analyses within a content package by tag. Previously, administrators could only sort by whether the analyses were customized or Blueprint. With the addition of sorting by tags, admins can more easily grant content access based on the category or topic the analyses belong to.
User List now includes profile and permission information: We updated the downloadable User List to now list users' profile and permission assignments.
Changes to the More Info button for plan items: For consistency and discoverability, we’ve moved the More info button for plan items so it appears when you hover over the Help button. This will open up an explanation dialog that provides calculation details and additional guidance for the plan item.
End collaboration workflow improvements: We’ve updated the end collaboration workflow to be more intuitive and to ensure planners understand data from unconsolidated subplans will not be included in the parent plan.
Plan model access: Use content packages to limit the plan models that planners can create.
Restore to snapshot: You can now restore a previous version of your plan. Just remember to create a snapshot before making significant changes to your plan.
Data model and query APIs:
- We added the following data types:
- CellSetAxisPosition
- AxisVisibility
- PopulationConfiguration
- We added the dataType and primitiveDataType fields to the Property object. This provides you with more detailed information about a property’s data type when retrieving information.
- We added the axisVisibility field to QueryExecutionOptions. This allows you to set the amount of information to return for each axis.
- We added populationConfiguration field to AnalyticObject. This provides information about insight population configurations, including distinguishing properties, change history properties, and grouping dimensions that are used by Visier’s AI insights.
Bug fixes
86314 - Differing data versions in production and a draft project: When publishing a project that’s based on a different data version than the production version, you will now see a more descriptive error message that guides you towards a potential solution.
89372 - Workday data connector rescinded events: We fixed an issue where our Workday connector was extracting rescinded events.
90385 - N/A Overall values in Breakdown visual: When analyzing a Breakdown visual, you will no longer see N/A values for the Overall group if there are no overall values. In Breakdown comparisons, N/A values will appear for Overall groups if at least one of the comparison values is not N/A.

Visier Benchmarks
Benchmark statistics: We’ve added percentile measures (10, 25, 50, 75, and 90) for all the Visier Benchmark metrics. Percentiles indicate the values at which a percentage of data falls. Use percentiles to understand where your organization ranks in performance compared to the market at large. For example, your organization's Woman Ratio is 65%, which places you in the 90th percentile of the Visier Benchmarking program. This means that your organization's value is higher than 90% of all organizations.
- This capability is in limited availability. If you are interested in using it, please contact your Customer Success Manager (CSM). If you are unsure who your CSM is, please create a technical support case through the Visier Service Portal.
