Platform

This section covers the changes to Alpine, the open innovation platform for workforce data.

What's new

Analyses list order

We’ve rearranged the tabs in the Analyses room to help you find relevant content faster. You will now see a list of analyses that you own instead of all the analyses you have access to when opening the Analyses room.

Dynamic analyses enhancements

We made the following improvements for dynamic analyses:

  • Authors can now assign a color to reference line chart transforms.
  • Authors can now lock trigger population and scope population filters. Users cannot remove locked filters when viewing the dynamic analysis.
  • Users are now prompted to select analysis parameters in dynamic analyses if required parameters are missing, such as the trigger population or plans and scenarios.

Shared analysis editing

Multiple authors can now edit the same analysis, enabling sharing of content creation and better file management by reducing the need to create multiple copies of the same analysis.

Table visualization card

To improve the flexibility of our analyses, we have decreased the minimum size of the Table visualization card. This means that the card can now be displayed either half-width or full-width, giving authors more options for how they want to display their data.

Analysis context in the Compare room

You can now change the time period of analysis and add filters in the Compare room.

Group by levels

Easily compare items across an attribute level. For example, when grouping by Location Hierarchy, you can now select the city level to see data for New York and Toronto.

Long text display (Breakdown visual)

If a visual has long attribute labels, you can adjust the layout to include the full text in the visual.

View Details for multiple metrics (Comparisons, Relationship, and Quadrant visuals)

You can now access a list of subject members or event occurrences that make up a population for any metric that is included in your visual.

Community Career Paths

You can now compare your employee career paths to similar employees across all Visier customers in the Career Paths and Sourcing Paths visuals. Career paths are aggregated from 15 million records and can be used to benchmark the career paths within your organization.

Note: This feature requires an additional cost. If you are interested, please contact your Customer Success Manager (CSM).

Self-service dimension creation

Administrators can now create simple and leveled dimensions and upload or select existing data to populate a new dimension. This empowers administrators to add new dimensions and update the data for those dimensions at any time.

Note: Data is required for this feature.

Workday connector enhancements

Our Workday connector now supports talent acquisition data like Applicant, Candidate, and Offer.

Admin job manager

Administrators can now run data load jobs and publish new data versions to production without waiting for the next scheduled data load job. Administrators can also review the statuses of production jobs to understand if there are any issues.

Note: Data is required for this feature.

Preview analyses from the studio experience

As an administrator, you can directly preview an analysis as another user when creating and managing analyses in the studio experience.

View project issues

In a project, administrators can now view, resolve, or ignore issues such as unconfigured concepts. For more information, see View All Unconfigured Concepts.

Rename Solution Definition to Application Definition

Can't find the Solution Definition export in the studio experience? That's because we renamed the export to Application Definition. The Application Definition export contains a list of all the analytic and document objects in Visier People such as subjects, events, overlays, metrics, and analyses.

Data Model and Data Query APIs

The following enhancements were made to the APIs:

  • Added the displayNamePath field to the CellSetAxisPosition data type. This allows you to retrieve the paths of the display names for an axis member.
  • Added Retrieve children dimension members of a given member ID for a dimension ID endpoint. This allows you to retrieve the children of specific dimension members, such as Canada’s children members (British Columbia, Alberta, Ontario, …).
  • Added ids and showPathDisplayNames parameters to the Retrieve dimension members by ID endpoint.
    • ids allows you to specify dimension members to retrieve child members for.
    • showPathDisplayNames specifies whether you want the response to return the display names of path members.
  • Added MemberDisplayMode data type.
  • Added memberDisplayMode to QueryExecutionOptions. In a query, you can now control how time axis member values are displayed in the result set.

Patch updates

June 28 - Customize range dimensions and custom dimensions

Administrators can now customize range dimensions and custom dimensions. With customization, you have more power to modify dimensions in your solution. You can now fully create and set up new range and custom dimensions without assistance from Visier Technical Support.

June 14 - Formula dictionary enhancements

We made the following enhancements to the formula dictionary:

  • The left panel now lists all object types (metrics, subjects, events, …) and functions. You can expand each category in the panel to see the the available objects and functions.
  • The middle panel now shows the available objects' object names.
  • After selecting an object in the middle panel, the right panel now has a Go to Object button that takes you to the selected object’s detail page. For example, if you select Metrics > employeeCount > Go to Object, you will be redirected to the metric page for employeeCount.
  • After selecting an object like a dimension or concept in the middle panel, the right panel now displays the object’s associated analytic objects. For example, if you select Concepts > Gender, the right panel displays the analytic objects Employee, Applicant, and Candidate.
  • The search function now displays the number of results for your search query (for example, 1200 results for ‘employee’) and lists search results in the middle panel.

May 31 - Make a dimension shared

Previously, the button to change a local dimension to a shared dimension was called Convert. Now, to improve clarity, that button is called Make Shared. You can find this button in any dimension that isn’t shared.

May 31 - Visual title font color

To help you create color palettes that are consistent with your brand colors, we’ve improved the readability of visual titles that have dark backgrounds. The font color will automatically change from black to white when a dark color background is used.

Visier People

This section covers the changes to the content of the Visier People solution.

Skills Insights

What's new

Introducing Skills Insights, a new application that gives you instant visibility into all the skills in your organization and helps you identify any skills gaps you may have. This includes metrics for automation and remote work likelihood, and skill gap metrics to analyze a user-selected combination of multiple skills. Explore metrics such as Visier Skills Fit to get a complete picture of skills across all the employees in the organization.

Check out the Visier Skills Intelligence Engine Guidebook topic for analyses that will help you learn how to analyze skills, plan for the future, and validate your data.

Workforce CSRD

What's new

We’ve added EU Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) content so you can analyze your workforce disclosure requirements. The EU requires organizations of a certain size to disclose sustainability policies and metrics, in addition to classical financial reporting. Visier consolidates all of these disclosure requirements with new data models and metrics built specifically to match the workforce disclosure requirements. Use these metrics to analyze the disclosure requirements in your organization and ensure you are compliant.

Note: Data is required for this feature.

Check out ESRS S1 Own Workforce to review your organization’s workforce metrics as defined by public disclosure requirements.

Organization

What's new

Visier Job Match Score

We’ve added new Job Match Score metrics that calculate the confidence level of the match between job names and their standardized occupations from Visier’s occupation taxonomy.

Planning

What's new

Plan of record

You can now set the default plan and plan scenario that is used across your dynamic analyses for each plan model. Viewers can quickly see the progress of their plan as they will automatically be presented with data from the plan of record without having to set the plan parameters when they open the analysis.

Bug fixes

102069 - Projected Cost - YTD

In the Headcount Forecasting model, we’ve updated the Projected Cost - YTD plan item formula so the YTD values will be consistent if the baseline month and the first month of projection are in the same year.

101653 - Expected Retirements

In the Headcount Forecasting model, we’ve updated the formula of the Expected Retirements plan item to filter out those who have a future known retirement date so that values will not be double counted.

Talent Acquisition

Bug fixes

101530 - Requisition Pay Level description update

We’ve updated the description of the Pay Level property on Requisition to indicate that it is the pay level for the requested requisition.

101453 - Approved to Closed Filled Conversion Rate (Requisition Process)

We’ve updated the description and calculation details for this metric to clarify that the metric captures requisitions that moved into the Closed-Filled stage and were at or past the Approved stage during the selected period.

100972 - External and Internal Hires in Period

We’ve updated the description of the External Hires in Period metric to clarify that it filters on the Applicant subject. We also renamed the Internal Hires metric to Internal Hires in Period for consistency.

Workplace Dynamics

What's new

Internal comparison metrics

Use the new internal comparison metrics to see how your team’s collaboration skills, digital day, and wellbeing compares to internal groups such as your peers, manager's team, or organization.

Note: Configuration is required for this feature.

Visier Benchmarks

Expanded Visier Benchmarks Locations (Europe, Asia, and Oceania)

We’ve added a new Visier Benchmarks location dimension called Visier Location. This dimension has been expanded to include Europe, Asia, Oceania, and their related sub-regions, in addition to existing North American regions.

This dimension replaces the existing Visier Benchmark Location dimension, which will be deprecated in the future. An asterisk (*) in the display name indicates that it will be deprecated and there is a newer version of the dimension available. For a full list of the deprecated objects, see Deprecation notice: Blueprint Design Objects.
