90 Day and 1 Year Resignation Rate of New Starts Benchmarks
We are replacing the existing New Hire 90 Day Resignation Rate and New Hire Resignation Rate benchmarks to better align with how you measure the success of your onboarding and talent acquisition strategies.
The following new benchmark metrics measure the percentage of starts that end in a resignation within a 90 day or 1 year time period. To measure this we track groups of new hires based on their start date to see how many stay with their organization for 90 days or 1 year.
- 90 Day Resignation Rate of New Starts - Overall Visier Benchmark™ - Trend
- 90 Day Resignation Rate of New Starts - My Visier Benchmark™ - Trend
- 1 Year Resignation Rate of New Starts - Overall Visier Benchmark™ - Trend
- 1 Year Resignation Rate of New Starts - My Visier Benchmark™ - Trend
We’ve also added the following new comparison metrics to allow you to compare your organization metric value against benchmarks.
- 90 Day Resignation Rate of New Starts
- 1 Year Resignation Rate of New Starts
We’ve deprecated the previous New Hire 90 Day Resignation Rate and New Hire Resignation Rate benchmarks. For a full list of deprecated objects, see Deprecation notice: Blueprint Design Objects. The asterisk (*) in the metric display name indicates that there is a newer version of this metric available. Please use the new version as this metric will be deprecated in the future.

Bug fixes
158116 - Removal of Monthly Absence Hours Range Dimension from Overtime to Regular Worked Hours Recorded Ratio Metric Driver
We have removed the Monthly Absence Hours Range dimension from the driver configuration for the Overtime to Regular Worked Hours Recorded Ratio metric. This resolves an issue where analyses were previously timing out due to this configuration.
152552 - Formula Improvements for Employee Survey Metrics
The formulas of the following metrics have been revised to generate results regardless of text or selection response availability:
- Favorable Response Count
- Unfavorable Response Count
- Total Score or Sentiment Response Count
This update also fixes the dependent metrics Favorable and Unfavorable Response Ratio. By removing the requirement to load all 3 types of responses: Likert-scale, Text, and Selection responses at the same time. This will eliminate the need for manual tenant-level customizations.
The Employee Survey Events NPS metric formula has also been updated to improve the accuracy of positive and negative counting logic. By preventing double counting in NPS questions that has multiple text sentiment responses, this update ensures calculations remain within the -100% to 100% range, even when utilizing topic detection from vendors such as Medallia.
Additionally, the Employee Survey caption now uses Survey_Event_ID_Property to ensure employee names are hidden by default in detailed visuals.
Drivers visual is now enabled for:
- Favorable Response Ratio
- Unfavorable Response Ratio
- Employee Survey Events NPS
Workforce Intelligence
Patch updates
August 13 - Data Query API dimensionDataMemberSelection Improvements
When querying parent-child dimensions, the dimensionDataMemberSelection field no longer returns data members for members that have no child members. Because this field already returns leaf members (don't have child members), it's unnecessary to also return data members for members with no children. This aligns with the visualization labels in Visier. For more information, see "Data Query API" in API Reference.
August 5 - Webhooks API General Availability
The Webhooks API is now generally available. Use webhooks to register your own HTTPS endpoints with Visier and listen for specific events. When these events occur, Visier sends an API request to your registered endpoint. For more information, see Webhooks API.
July 29 - Databricks Data In Connector OAuth 2.0 Support
The data in connector for Databricks now supports OAuth 2.0 authorization. For more information, see Databricks.
July 29 - Planning APIs General Availability
We promoted the following plan API endpoints to general availability:
- Partially update a plan
- Retrieve planning events
For more information, see "Plan Events" and "Plan Administration" in API Reference.
July 22 - Security Access Explorer
Gain a clearer understanding of your security setup with new diagnostic tools that help administrators easily see who can access what, and why.
-
Object Access (Beta): Evaluate security configurations from an object-first perspective to trace user visibility and data exposure. For more information, see Review Object Access to Confirm Visibility.
-
Users (Beta): Review a user’s security configuration, including data security, content packages, and capabilities, from a single consolidated view. For more information, see View User Security to Verify Access.
Note: Beta This feature is in beta. If you're interested, contact your Customer/Partner Success Manager.
July 22 - Planning APIs General Availability
We promoted the following plan API endpoints to general availability:
- Partially update a plan scenario
- Retrieve a list of plans
- Retrieve a plan's details
- Upload plan data
- Retrieve a planning event
For more information, see "Plan Events", "Plan Administration", and "Data Model" in API Reference.
July 22 - Synchronize Security Artifacts General Availability
Synchronizing security artifacts is now generally available. Synchronizing copies versioned permissions, data access sets, user groups, and user assignments to the non-versioned environment in Studio. For more information, see "Synchronize security artifacts" in Non-Versioned Security.
July 22 - Permissions API Fast Mode
We added a new header to the Permissions API POST and PUT endpoints to reduce latency when you don't need to perform dynamic permission checks, such as checking for the Super Admin permission assignment. The FastMode header tells the API call to skip loading the tenant's data environment. For more information, see "Create permissions" and "Update permissions" in API Reference.
July 22 - Content Packages API Endpoint Returns Artifact Definitions
When using APIs to retrieve the details of a content package, the response now returns the artifacts in the content package and their details. For more information, see "Retrieve a content package’s details" in API Reference.
July 22 - Return HTTP 409 Conflict for Users V3 API Requests
Previously, the Users V3 PUT request returned HTTP 400 Bad Request when concurrent requests tried to update the same user group with the header Prefer: nvLock=artifact. Now, the request returns HTTP 409 Conflict, which advises the user to resolve the conflict and try again. For more information about Users V3, see "Update or insert (upsert) a user" in API Reference.
July 8 - List Query API MemberId Deprecation
We are deprecating the memberId parameter for list query API calls. You can specify dimension members in the path parameter instead. The memberId parameter will be removed as of Spring 2027. For more information, see "Query a list of details" in API Reference.
July 8 - More Support for Locking Non-Versioned User Groups
Locking user groups now supports user groups that select users with both manual assignment and member filters. For more information about locking, see "Lock non-versioned security artifacts" in Non-Versioned Security.
What's new
External Observability for Audit Events
As an alternative to Application Logs, use webhooks to ingest audit events in JSON format instead of XSLX files. This is a scalable method to observe information about your users and how they are using Visier. For more information, see "Use webhooks for external observability and auditing" in Webhooks API.
Source Security Improvement
When setting a user’s access to sources, you can now enable full access to all sources. When enabled, the user can create, read, edit, and delete all sources. For more information, see "Setting access with target security enabled" in Set Access.
Improved System Performance for Non-Versioned User Group Security Updates
Before, any non-versioned user group security updates caused Visier's system to refresh all users in your tenant. Now, the system only refreshes users in the changed non-versioned user group. This is only applicable to non-versioned user groups with manual user assignment. By only refreshing security for the specific users involved, Visier runs more efficiently. For more information, see Non-Versioned Security.
Multi-Factor Authentication for Visier People
We are introducing multi-factor authentication (MFA) to provide an extra layer of security for organizations that do not have single sign-on (SSO) enabled. Users will be prompted to enter an authenticator code at every sign-in attempt to ensure accounts remain protected. For more information, see Multi-Factor Authentication.
Note: This feature will be released in an upcoming patch and will replace the sign in verification code.
Power BI Connector
We’ve updated the connector to version 1.7.6 to fix an issue with SQL-like queries. For more information, see Use Visier Data in Power BI.
More Table Source Support
Note: Limited Availability This feature is in limited availability. If you're interested, contact your Customer/Partner Success Manager. Visier Case Managers can request access by submitting an Enable a Feature case.
We added the following table source features.
- New connectors: Table sources are now available in the SAP SuccessFactors and Workday RaaS data in connectors. For more information, see SAP SuccessFactors and Workday Reports-as-a-Service.
- Materialized views: We added materialized views, which allow combining data from multiple table sources into a single view that is created and maintained as a separate source, linked to the upstream sources. For more information, see "Use materialized views" in Use SQL with Table Sources.
- Table Properties tab: Table sources now have a Table Properties tab where you can set key/value metadata for the table. For more information, see "Edit key/value pairs" in Use SQL with Table Sources.
- Static mapping lookups: Table sources now support lookup functions for static mappings. For more information about static maps, see Mapping Settings.
Data Export Connectors
Super Admins can now create data export connectors, which push aggregated or detailed data exports directly from Visier to an external system. Data export connectors can push to Databricks and Snowflake. For more information, see Data Export Connectors.
Note: Limited Availability This feature is in limited availability. If you're interested, contact your Customer/Partner Success Manager. Visier Case Managers can request access by submitting an Enable a Feature case.
Workforce Plans
Patch updates
August 5 - Consolidation Method on Headcount and Cost Planning
We have updated the following plan items in the Headcount and Cost Planning (New) model to use a rate-based consolidation method. This change addresses the inconsistency where subplans with additional segmentation produced different values when rolled up with main plans. The rate-based consolidation setting uses Headcount as its base value.
- Annual Resignation Rate
- Annual Retirement Rate
- Annual Involuntary Turnover Rate
What's new
Design Principles
Administrators with the Organization Design Administrator capability can create design principles to define the organizational rules users should follow. Design principles let you set quantitative and qualitative guardrails (such as span of control limits, pay differentials, staff ratios, and time zone alignment) that are evaluated against your organizational data. When designing their org structure, users will instantly see the number of issues that violate a principle. By turning on highlighting, they can pinpoint exactly where these issues occur, making it easy to identify and fix them at a glance. For more information, see Create a Design Principle.
Updated Organization View
In Organizations view, you can now remove an organization and add positions to an organization. To add positions, simply drag them directly from the Positions or No Organization panels straight into any organization. For more information, see "Remove organizations" in Design by Organization.
Node Customization
You can now customize the appearance of nodes in both Organizations and Positions views. You can customize node sizes as well as the information that appears such as key metrics, employee and position details, and more. For more information, see "Customize nodes" in Design by Organization.
Focus on Position
You can now focus on specific positions within an org structure by double-clicking a node, bringing direct reports up horizontally for a clearer view. This eliminates extra noise from the rest of the hierarchy, making it easier to walk through specific team structures with others. For more information, see "Focus on position" in Design by Position.
Plan Creation Filtering
When creating a new org structure, you can now select multiple starting points to view specific teams side by side. Additionally, you can refine your position scope by choosing whether to apply your organization's default filter context. For example, these filters typically exclude specific worker types, such as contingent workers. For more information, see "Create an organizational structure" in Organization Design.
Export Scenario for Presentations
You can now export to PowerPoint. The export generates PowerPoint objects that you can easily edit post-export. For more information, see Organization Design.
