In a project, you can run or schedule an extraction job for a specific connector. You have the following options to run an extraction job:

  • Quick onboarding: Select a data topic to onboard and the amount of time to retrieve data from. This automatically includes data tables that are recommended for the best experience in the selected topic.

Note: Only available for Workday V2, SAP SuccessFactors, and Oracle Fusion Service connectors.

  • Custom: Schedule an extraction job to run now, later, or recurrently.

Note: Recurrent jobs can only be scheduled in the production project.

Run a quick onboarding extraction job

Note: Only available for Workday V2, SAP SuccessFactors, and Oracle Fusion Service connectors.

Quick onboarding extraction jobs allow you to work with connector data sooner. We recommend that you run quick onboarding as the first extraction job for a new connector.

  1. In a project, on the navigation bar, click Data > Connectors.
  2. Select a connector.
  3. In the connector, click Schedule Job > Quick onboarding.
  4. In the Quick onboarding dialog, in Data topic, select a data topic to onboard.
  5. In Data history, select the number of months to retrieve data from.

Note: Not available in the SAP SuccessFactors connector.

  6. When finished, click Next.

  7. In the next page, click Run to start the extraction job. You can also click Back to change the job configuration before running the job.
  8. Review the progress of quick onboarding. Click Done to close the dialog. The job will continue running if you close the dialog. To see the job's progress, navigate to Data > Jobs on the navigation bar. For more information about jobs, see Jobs.

Run a custom extraction job

Custom extraction jobs let you run a job immediately, later, or on a recurring schedule. You can schedule an extraction job in the Connectors room or the Jobs room in a project.

  1. Do one of the following:
    • In a project, on the navigation bar, click Data > Connectors. In the Connectors room, select a connector and then click Schedule Job > Custom.
    • In a project, on the navigation bar, click Data > Jobs. In the Jobs room, click Schedule > Schedule job.
