Overview
The data version download allows you to download a data version table for available analytic objects, properties, and dimensions in your current data version as a TSV file. The file contains data produced by Visier's data processing job and represents the final state of your data for users to interact with. You can use this tool to validate your data records or to troubleshoot data issues by investigating the data tables that are read.
When reviewing the data version table, there are common things to look for, including:
-
If you're missing data check if the relevant records appear in the table or if there are values with spelling errors.
-
If data is calculated incorrectly check if the source values are different than what is appearing in the data version table. If they are different, when and how did it change over time? For example, let's say you're analyzing employee location data and an employee is missing from a location. To troubleshoot this in the data version table, check the location column for the specific employee to identify when the miscalculation may have occurred.
