Make a Failed Data Version Visible

Review a scheduled data version that failed validation and make it visible in production for users.

By default, any scheduled data version that fails validation will not deploy to production. Administrators can investigate the failed data version and mark it visible if they choose. You can toggle data version visibility (that is, make visible or rollback) for failed data versions that were run against the current production version.

Scheduled data versions that failed validation will show a "Failed" status in the Data Categories and Issues rooms.

Note: Scheduled data versions that failed can be made visible. Data versions that are generated in a project must pass validation to be released to production.

To make a failed data version visible in production:

  1. In a project, on the navigation bar, click Validation > Issues.
  2. In Data version, select the failed data version from the list.
  3. With the correct data version selected, turn on the DV available in production toggle.

Result: If Auto-release latest is turned on, the data version is immediately released to production. For more information, see Release Behavior.

Tip: To rollback a failed data version that was released to production, turn off the DV available in production toggle. This removes the data version from production and the previous production data version will go into effect.
