Set the Home Analysis for All Users

Administrators can set a default analysis that will display in the Home room when users first sign in to Visier.

The default analysis is a view-only analysis that enables users to quickly scan details about their organization. Administrators can set a default analysis for all users and set additional default analyses by user group.

The Home room contains a view-only analysis that is set by the administrator or the user. For more information about users setting their own default analysis, see Home.

Follow the steps below to set the Home analysis for your users:

  1. Open a project.
  2. On the navigation bar, click Model > Settings > Home.
  3. Under Default Analysis, click Edit and select an analysis from the list.

    Tip:

    • Select an analysis that all your users can access. If some users can’t access the default analysis, they will see an error when navigating to Home.
    • Visier provides analyses titled Welcome to Visier People! that you can set as your users' default analysis. You can choose from a general summary analysis and user-specific analyses, such as for HRBPs, managers, executives, administrators, or analysts.

  4. Optional: To set default analyses for specific user groups, do the following:
    1. Under Default analysis for user groups, click Add User Group and select a user group from the list.
    2. In the new row for the user group, click Select a default analysis to be displayed for all users.
    3. Select an analysis from the list. This analysis will override the previous default that you set in step 3 for all users in the selected user group.

Note: If a user belongs to multiple user groups that are assigned different default analyses, those analyses will conflict. As a result, the user will see the default analysis that you set in step 3.

  5. When finished, publish your project to production. This makes the default analysis available in the Home room for your users. For more information, see Publish Project Changes.
