Preview a Project

Enter the solution to see the effect of your changes.

As you're working in a project, you can open a preview of your solution to see the effect of your changes. For example, you may preview:

  • The appearance of a custom guidebook and its topics.
  • What a metric will look like based on your changes to its formula.

To preview a project:

In the global workspace

  1. On the global navigation bar, click Projects.

  2. Hover over a project and then click View Solution.
Working in a project

On the navigation bar, under Preview in tenant, select a tenant and then click the Preview Solution button . Default is the administrating tenant.

Note:  

  • The preview of the solution will open in a new tab.
  • If you open the solution experience and can't access any analyses or the Explore room, you may not have the correct permission capabilities. For more information, see Permission Management.
  • You can also preview the solution as a specific user. For example, preview what a user can see in your solution as a result of your changes to their permissions. For more information, see Preview the Solution as a User.
  • To preview data load changes, such as mappings, you must run a job for the current project and then preview the job from the Jobs room. For more information, see Run a data load job without publishing to analytic tenants.
