Create an Exploration Snapshot

Create an Exploration Snapshot to combine the details from segments across all plans to generate aggregated values.

Who can use this feature?

Users with this permission capability:

  • Planner

  • Plan Administrator

Not sure if you have this feature or capability? Reach out to your administrator.

Prerequisites: To perform the following task, you must:

  • Be the main planner
  • Create a fixed plan
  • End the collaboration project
  1. In the main plan, click the Explore drop-down arrow on the toolbar.

  2. Click Create Exploration Snapshot.
  3. Type a name for the Exploration Snapshot.
  4. Click Create.

    Result: The Exploration Snapshot is created and the plan metrics will be available in Explore. For more information, see Exploration Snapshots.

Tip:  

  • To analyze the plan metrics for your Exploration Snapshot in Explore, click the Metric picker and select the Planning category.
  • If you make changes to your plan, you can refresh the data in your Exploration Snapshot to reflect these changes. For more information, see Update an Exploration Snapshot.
