What's new

Evolving Vee General Availability

Announcing the general availability of the evolution of Vee. Vee now transforms ambiguous business questions into actionable insights and guidance. It seeks clarification when needed, provides context beyond raw numbers, explains the "so what" behind data patterns, and suggests logical next steps for analysis or action. For more information, see "Determine your Vee experience" in Meet Vee.

Note: If you're interested, contact your Customer/Partner Success Manager. Visier Case Managers can request access by submitting an Enable a Feature case.

Improvements include:

  • Multi-Query Questions: Vee can answer multi-query questions that require answers spanning multiple visualizations.
  • Contextual Awareness: Vee now reads the entire analysis page. It uses all visible text and visuals on your screen as context to answer your questions.
  • AI Explanations & Follow-ups: Vee can provide AI explanations on analyses and visuals. Ask follow-up questions directly in the chat to dive deeper into your data.
  • Instructions and Role Personalization: Administrators can set instructions for Vee to define how Vee gathers data or how it styles responses. Through instructions, Vee's responses can be personalized to different user groups.
  • Safeguards: Administrators can add safeguards to block content in Vee and prevent answers to specific types of questions or topics.
  • Citations: Responses now include citations that link directly to the underlying data.
  • Definitions: You can ask Vee to define specific metrics, dimensions, or organizational concepts.
  • Download Charts: Instantly export charts directly to spreadsheets, images, or presentations.
  • Vee Logs: More query columns to track information about the questions your users are asking.
  • Preview Vee: Administrators can preview Vee's evolved capabilities in Studio.

Evolving Vee Slack and Microsoft Teams Integrations Limited Availability

Multiple Business Calendars

We've added support for multiple calendars, so you can easily upload and switch between fiscal, retail, and custom operational calendars to analyze your data against the timelines that matter most to your business. For more information, see The Time Context and Upload a Business Calendar.

Reporting for Enterprise

Reports transform complex data into customizable, easy-to-understand tabular views and visualizations that drive smarter business decisions—all while fully adhering to Visier's security model. For more information, see Reports.

Analyses Room Navigation

Find and switch between your analyses faster with new vertical tabs. For more information, see Analyses.

Embed Any Visualization

You can now select any visualization within an analysis to embed directly into your web application or portal. For more information, see Embed a Visualization.

Employee Task Hours per Week Ratio Metric

We've added an Employee Task Hours per Week Ratio metric that measures the percentage of hours per week spent on tasks with a particular attribute at the end of the period. Use this metric to see what percentage of weekly work hours are dedicated to tasks with a particular attribute. You can filter by dimensions such as AI Impact or Job Name to compare the ratio of hours across task categories.

Active in Stage (Applicant Process) Metric

We've added an Active in Stage metric to the Applicant Process that measures the number of applicants that are currently active or were active in the selected stage during the period. This metric helps recruiters track applicants currently or previously active in a specific stage of the hiring process.

Updated Dimension for Direct Span of Control Benchmarks

The Direct Span of Control Benchmarks can now be grouped or filtered by the Visier Occupation dimension.

Starts Rate Benchmarks

We are replacing the existing External Starts Rate benchmark to better capture all types of starts. The External Starts Rate benchmark excluded other key start categories, such as system starts and other starts.

The following new benchmark measures incorporate all start types:

  • Starts Rate - Overall Visier Benchmark™ - Trend
  • Starts Rate - My Visier Benchmark™ - Trend

Note: We've deprecated the previous External Starts Rate benchmark. For a full list of deprecated objects, see Deprecation notice: Blueprint Design Objects. The asterisk (*) in the metric display name indicates that there is a newer version of this metric available. Please use the new version as this metric will be deprecated in the future.

Quarterly Trend Benchmarks Time Series

Previously, Visier Benchmarks Trend values were generated quarterly, and historical benchmarks were updated in a new time series on a periodic basis. Now, we will publish a new time series for Visier Benchmarks Trend values each quarter containing both the newly generated benchmark values and updated historical benchmarks.

Updates to Visier Benchmarks

Visier Benchmarks Trend: We've added measured values for Q1 2026. For more information, see Visier Benchmarks.

Note: Trend exceptions

  • 90 Day Resignation Rate of New Starts
    • Measured values conclude with the most recent complete 90-day period.
    • No extrapolated values are provided.
  • 1 Year Resignation Rate of New Starts
    • Measured values conclude with the most recent complete 1-year period.
    • No extrapolated values are provided.

  • Advise Mode: Ask questions and get clear, actionable guidance for your workflows.
  • Build Mode: Describe what you need in plain language, and Studio Agent proposes and executes a plan directly against your data model in Studio, with full review and approval by you.

Note:

  • Build mode is available with your purchase of Visier People Extend.
  • Your organization must opt in to AI features. In the global workspace, click Settings > AI Features.

  • This feature will be released in an upcoming patch.
  • Your organization must opt in to AI features. In the global workspace, click Settings > AI Features.

Table Sources General Availability

Table sources are now generally available. Table sources provide the ability to use SQL in data ingestion and source management for use cases such as handling GDPR data deletion requests. Table sources also support more complex transformations through SparkSQL and Materialized Views. For more information, see Use SQL with Table Sources.

Table sources now support receiving files through the Data Transfers room, such as manual upload or SFTP. Previously, data had to be loaded directly into a table source, via the Table Source API or a sub-set of data intake connectors.

Additionally, the following data in connectors can now use table sources:

  • Amazon Redshift
  • Google BigQuery
  • Microsoft SQL Server
  • MySQL
  • Snowflake (Legacy)

Google BigQuery Data Export Connector Limited Availability

We added Google BigQuery to our supported data export connectors. You can now push aggregated or detailed data exports directly from Visier to Google BigQuery. For more information, see Google BigQuery Data Export Connector.

Microsoft Viva Glint Connector Beta

Seamlessly export your survey response data from Microsoft Viva Glint directly into Visier to analyze employee engagement alongside your key HR metrics. For more information, see Microsoft Viva Glint.

Data Version Snapshots API

You can now use public APIs to create, retrieve, and delete data version snapshots. Data version snapshots allow you to preserve data versions and review them at any time in the future to see the original data that may have been distributed to wider audiences, such as executives, auditors, and public reporting. For more information, see Data Version Snapshots API.

Workforce Plans

What's new

Update Baseline

You can now update your project's foundational baseline data to reflect organizational changes while preserving your custom scenario work. Updating the baseline will identify any conflicts between your scenario edits and the updated baseline, providing an interactive, step-by-step UI to review and resolve them.

Scenario Comparison

You can now explore and evaluate multiple approaches to solving organizational design challenges, such as restructuring teams to improve communication, reducing costs, or preparing for reorganizations. Users can create distinct scenarios for each strategy and compare them side-by-side to identify the optimal solution. For more information, see Create and Compare Scenarios.

Collaborate by Commenting

You can now share scenarios with collaborators and gather feedback through comments. Collaborators can comment directly on positions, organizations, and unassigned employees, or on the scenario as a whole, making it easy to ask questions and discuss proposed changes without altering the underlying data. For more information, see Add a Comment.

Updated Organization Design Permission Capabilities

We've updated the permission capabilities for Organization Design to offer more granular control over access, design principles, data sharing, and exports. For more information, see Capabilities List.
